Golf Course Maintenance and Turf Agronomy: New Golf Courses

Build it right and enjoy the results.

The process of building a golf course is an exciting time in the life of any golf facility.  It is filled with anticipation and enthusiasm.   But it is a critical time, for what is done or not done will dictate the overall results of the project.

During the building of a golf course, there are many aspects of the construction that affect turf quality and course maintenance after the course is completed.  This is why it’s imperative to have an experienced Golf Course Agronomist involved early and with every phase of the project.

Such tasks as choosing the right grass, when to seed, what bunker sand to use and choosing the correct greens-mix all seem fairly straightforward.  But, all of these decisions take specialized technical knowledge and years of experience to know what will or not happen.
